LTO fundamentals: Understanding driving fundamentals, as outlined by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in the driver’s manual, is essential. It covers vehicle maintenance, road safety rules, proper techniques – ensuring safety for all. Defensive driving anticipates hazards, reduces accidents. TL Mabuhay instills these values.
DOT-certified full-face helmet, armored jacket & pants, riding boots, reinforced gloves, ear and eye protection.
Comfort first: handlebars, seat, headlights – ensure easy handling on long trips.
Chain, suspension: lubricated, adjusted, cleaned. Tires – prevent blowouts or loss of traction.
Test before each ride. Brake pads even wear, safe to use.
Avoid extreme rain/flood. Plan route, check forecast.
Water before/after riding – lubricate joints, fuel muscles, maintain reaction time.
Test parking & service brakes – roll forward slowly without gas.
Condition check – worn tires cause loss of control.
Check for leaks, engine oil levels.
Clean, no corrosion.
Fasten as soon as you get in.
